How Does 2Verify Work?
2Verify observes your website/servers with what is called a Monitor.  Monitors perform tests on your servers at regular intervals (which you specify).  Such tests can be adapted for a particular type of web server, or you can have them perform general ping tests as well.  You can define what causes a particular test to have been passed, such as a response within 10 milliseconds or specific content included on a given web page.

When a Monitor goes out and a test fails, a notification called an Alarm is sent out.  Because Alarms are sent by email, they can be used to notify you or your staff by text messaging, pager, email accounts, or all of the above.  You can configure the list of people who will receive Alarm notifications when a Monitor finds an error.  These are typically members of your staff who can identify and fix website/server problems.

If you choose, you can configure some Alarms to be sent to certain people only after a website/server error goes unresolved after a period of time, such as one hour.  This would typically be done for managers who do not directly fix these types of issues, but who need to be aware of problems that remain unresolved for longer than the specified period.

2Verify is a remotely hosted and managed service.  That means that there is no software for you to install, no servers to configure, and no staff required for the operation of your Monitors.  After you sign-up, you can simply create Monitors, and then you will receive Alarm notifications when errors are found.
